Week 51: End of Year Report
Type of Writing: An end-of-year report.
Jude’s experiment with speed and sound have resulted in him creating a sonic boom – out of his anus. Earlier world record attempts fell slightly short, but since the introduction of solids his bowels have decimated the sound barrier and led to cataclysmic rumbles. His bottom has now been defined a weapon of mass destruction, with Tony Blair urging intervention.
Drama
Jude is very much from the more
is more school of acting. He is all about overstatement. Whilst modern
actors struggle playing to the back of the room, Jude - like theatrical
luminaries Richard Burton and Laurence Olivier- has no issue with this. His
vocal projection is akin to Will Ferrell in Elf: a volubility that is loud and hysterically funny.
Music
This week, Jude took to the pots
and pans, creating a percussive blast that would have The Who’s Keith
Moon howling at -well- the moon. He also slotted seamlessly into recorder
playing. His mum brought home the woodwind instrument this week from school,
much to the irritation of her husband. However, Jude’s smaller lung capacity
made his puffs surprisingly pleasant.
English
Jude often slinks in for his brother’s bedtime read. Although he doesn’t have Kit’s voracious appetite for reading, he does seem interested in literature, pawing through books and stroking the Usborne touch-and-feel series.
PE
Jude has just started attending baby
gym. Today he did two workout sessions (one was free; in return his parents
agreed to Jude’s image being used on social media – essentially, they will sign
away his privacy if it means they get a bargain). Able to pull himself up now,
these lower and upper-body sessions are paying dividends.
Dance
Each Saturday night the disco
light comes on, which mesmerises Jude. He stares up at the ceiling making some
noise for Detroit, waving his hands like he don’t care and screaming when he
wants the music to go faster.
Overall Comment
Jude has had a very successful
first year. He is as cute as a button and as smiley as a smiley emoji.
